Matthew C. Sheridan – Publisher

Matthew founded Black Point Press in 1997 after working in the housing industry and San Francisco politics for several years. He writes a regular column on demographic trends in the real-estate industry. A long-time resident of San Francisco, Matthew enjoys many of the charms the city offers, while working towards solutions for the myriad problems facing San Francisco. He served on the San Francisco Civil Grand Jury from 2001-2002 investigating and reporting on local government, and for many years he served as an officer and board member of the Dolphin Swimming and Boating Club. When he isn’t swimming and rowing in the bay, Matthew can be caught down by China Basin watching the San Francisco Giants and spending time with his family.

Pam McElroy – Editor

Pam McElroy is the editor of SF Apartment Magazine. After a California vacation, she fell in love with San Francisco and became a resident shortly thereafter. She loves tacos in the Mission, walks in North Beach, dim sum in the Richmond, and shopping in the Haight. While she loves exploring every neighborhood in the city, her favorite is Potrero Hill for it’s strong community, slow pace, eclectic residents, and varied architecture. She also enjoys cooking, farmers markets, kayaking, traveling, world-wide real estate, and weekend trips through the Bay Area and California.

Her prior work experience includes editorial, production, typesetting, and translation rights at Penguin Books, the American Psychological Association, the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute, Zest Books, and Paper Lantern Lit, among others. She lives in Potrero Hill, where she organizes an annual block party and is an active member of the community.  She is also a landlord in the neighborhood. She lives in an old, yellow Victorian with her husband, toddler, and kitty.
